Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to remember your actions and preferences for a period of time.
Types of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to function. They cannot be disabled. They include:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores your language preference | Session |
2. Analytics — no cookies
We measure traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. It counts page views from an anonymous hash derived from the request, discarded after 24 hours, never linked to your IP address and never used to follow you across other websites. Because of this, we set no analytics cookies at all.
3. Marketing cookies — none
This site sets no marketing or advertising cookies and contains no third-party tracking pixels. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and your consent will be requested before any such cookie is placed.
Manage your preferences
This site places no non-essential cookies, so there is no consent banner to accept and nothing to opt out of. The single cookie above simply remembers the language you are reading in. You can still delete it, or configure your browser to block cookies entirely — the site will keep working, it will just stop remembering your language between visits.
Law 25 compliance
Quebec's Law 25 requires explicit consent before any non-essential cookie or tracker is placed. We meet that requirement the simplest way there is:
- We place no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
- Our traffic measurement is cookieless and anonymous
- The only cookie we set is technically necessary (your language)
- If we ever add a non-essential cookie, this page is updated first and consent is requested before it is placed
